Hello

I am currently in the process of replacing the old doors in my new flat and would like some advise. Because the doors and frames are old, the depth of the new door will need to be 45mm thick like the old one. the problem is that it is difficult to find doors that thick nowadays! I have had to compromise with a 35mm thick door. Because of this the wood that the door will lean against when its closed in the frame will be too far away. So I am going to have to get these taken of and fixed closer. Can anyone suggest the easiest way to do this? being new to DIY im a bit weary about braking it.

Your old doors are fire doors, thats why they're (actually) 44mm thick. 35mm doors are not fire doors :!:
