replacing radiator

Hi, when replacing a radiator does the new radiator size have to be calculated or do you just replace the old one with a new one the same size?

I assume it is standard practice to replace for the same size, but i am a little unsure due to new radiators being more efficent and what have you.

Well the worst that would happen is that the new one would throw out more heat than the old. So what's the issue?

Agreed, as long as the room isn't currently suffering from being too cold there's no reason why you shouldn't replace with one the same size.
