Hi,
At the side of my bungalow, I noticed three tiles on the first row of tiles above the guttering had slipped out of position and are resting on the guttering itself. On closer inspection it appears that the horizontal baton which the tiles lip over has rotted away, is it possible to repair this myself, by removing offending tiles, sliding the second row of tiles up a bit then replacing the damaged wood and replacing tiles?? or am I totally misunderstanding the mechanics of the roof and likely to cause further problems??
