replacing shaving socket with mirror unit with lights

hi can anyone advice pls im taking out a shaving socket in the bathroom it has a earth live and neutral going to it.im replacing this with a bath cabinet with built in lights .but coming off the unit the wire has no earth as it says it doesnt need it so what or where does the earth wire coming to the shaver socket go as i was gonna connect the 2 wires together but not sure what to do with earth wire .cheers

I think you should fit a fused spur first as your shaver socket is probably coming off the ring main & will not be rated correctly for the lamps in your cabinet, then connect the lamps to the spur.

the feed is coming from the lighting ciciut on to the shave socket.which is rated at 5 amps.but what do i do with the earth

Sleeve it, terminate it in a choc block & leave it accessible.
