Sorry, but in my earlier post I missed out the very important word in the title.....Gutter.
Grateful for any ideas on how I can get round this one.
We`re having a conservatory built so I thought it sensible to replace these 50 year old very rusty gutter brackets that will be awkward and difficult to access when the coni is built beneath.
The problem is that some of the screws holding each bracket to the rafter are inaccessible as they are between the rafter and the top brick course. The house wall must have been built minus the top course, then the gutter brackets were screwed in place on the rafters before the final top course of bricks was layed that butts up to the rafter.
It looks as though the only way is to use a mini hacksaw to saw the bracket off as close as poss to the rafter but working space is very limited, especially up a ladder at some 17 feet high.
Any ideas welcomed
