I want to replace a 25 year old Sunvic 3 port valve with a new Drayton 3 port. The original wiring centre currently contains a relay and the wiring diagrams are not one for one! Any wrong connection would probably blow the relay. Has anyone come across this problem and is it easily rectified without completely re-wiring the junction box?

Yes, do yourself a favour and fit a Honeywell...Drayton stuff isn't that great...too many quality control issues. Ditch the relay and re-wire as a standard S plan. Google, there's plenty of diagrams.

Honeywell all the way, far superior product. Sunvic are well known for failing prematurely, I believe Sunvic were aware of the fault but chose to ignore it.

If it's a 3 port valve then needs to be wired as a Y plan. ;)
