Hi. I would be very grateful for any information about how I can replace my old timer which I think on researching is the RWB30 timer for heating. Pic attached. It’s now stopped working even though the Potterton boiler is still going strong. I just need a simple unit to set the heating and hot water to at least twice a day for 7 days. I thought to replace it with the Drayton LP722 £65 or the Flomasta 3439G £41 from Screwfix. Both are dual channel. Is it an easy swop as in all I need to do is remove the old timer and slot the new one onto the back plate? If not is there one that would be? The picture of my old timer, ancient and over 30 years old is attached. As well as pics of the possible replacements. I’d appreciate any advice. Thank you!

Check the position of the backplate relative to programmer.

I suspect you'll have more luck with the Drayton.
