Hi, we have currently got a Wireless Drayton Digistat RF 1 connected to our Baxi Combi 105HE which over the past few months has been working on and off and has been a complete waste of time, even after a replacement. So were doing the opposite of what most people would do and are replacing wireless with wired, running a cable to a suitable place shouldn’t be difficult.
Few questions:
Would a Drayton RTS 1 be suitable for the boiler? – We want a simple stat, no need for any timing etc, one with literally an on/off switch would be great to kill the boiler all together.
What’s the best cable to use to run the thing? 1.5mm standard electrical cable?
How many cores does the cable need?
