I have some light stands, which were originally chrome plated (nickel-chrome). They were left in a shed for about 15 years and although some of the chrome is intact, there are various areas of rust that I cannot seem to get rid off - it just seems like surface rust but am wondering how best to restore these.
Is nickel-chrome plating expensive?
Also, could I just angle grind them with a wire brush to remove all the existing rust and chrome and then either replate or repaint?
