Some of the photos look like the bedding joints but given how bad some of the other photos look, I am not sure.

The work is terrible.

In image number 1, in my lay opinion, they haven't removed enough of the old pointing.

I am currently painting the windows on a house in Ealing that was just repointed by Aspen Brick Pointing (NW10). They specialise in weather struck pointing. I can spot houses that they have previously pointed (it is like a signature). His work is stunning.

The above is a house that they pointed last year that I need to do some painting at next month.

The guy that runs the company is called Colin. You could try giving him a bell. I do not want to post his number here but you can find it on Yell

Offer to buy him a "drink" and he might be willing to put something in writing to help your case.

Edit------- you might want to edit your post so that you don't mention the full name of the company. The mods might delete it otherwise.

Something else that strikes me as odd is that they don't do the perps first (the vertical joins), before the horizontal ones.

Part of the problem is that you owe them money for the scaffolding and for removing the old mortar (labour/skip/etc). Whoever you need to get in to rectify the work will have to undo their work. That is to say, to remove their pointing.

The fact that they are registered at a virtual office would have raised alarm bells with me but isn't proof of anything. I suspect that they just sub out the work.
