My system has needed refilling every 2-3 months during the summer, every month during the Winter. As Heating now being used I decided to try to sort problem once and for all.
I turned power off and drained system down to reduce pressure to '0'. Connected electric pump and pressurised to about 1.2 and then noticed that gauge on boiler had risen to about 1 1/2 bar.
So went out and drained even MORE water to get back down to '0' came in, did the same and gauge rose back.to 1 1/2 bar again.
I then also spotted a small dribble of wet around Schrader valve.
Not sure but did I do wrong in closing the drain off valve before pressurising the Expansion Vessel?
Or
Does that indicate a hole in the Diaphragm or is this the norm?
