Not sure where to post this, but here goes:

Sorry this isn't a DIY question as such.....but this is beyond my ability!

Our house has guttering problems. The gutters themselves are generally ok-maybe just a good clean. But the downpipes need replacing, and I know a bird has nested near the guttering/eaves of the house so that hole will need blocking.

So my question is how do I find a reputable roofer or guttering person? I live in Norfolk. Are there any schemes that guarantee a good workman?

Thanks.

If a gang of paddies turn up in a white transit and refuse to tell you their names and only provide a mobile give em a wide berth, our neighbour got caught a treat having her fascias and down pipes done.

Bob Maxwell allegedly pronounced :-

- The thing I would most like to see invented is a way of teaching children and grown-ups the difference between right and wrong.

- You are as safe with me as you would be in the Bank of England.

With respect to the final sentence, you may have fetched up skint or drowned, probably both...
