Hi,
We live in an old house with a slate floor in the living room. Unfortunately, previous owners covered it with linoleum, stuck to the layer of roofing felt (by some sort of glue) and all that is stuck to slate with bichumin. By scraping and scratching for 45 minutes we managed to get about a dinner-plate sized bit of lino off, but the slate ends up scratched and the bichumin is still there. Any ideas? Solvents, tools, anything? Apart from covering it all up with nice, wooden floor (which may be the end of it if we don't find a solution)? I'd be really, really grateful for help!
