restraint straps..?

Hello all..!

I am refurbishing a two storeys detached cottage.

Been told to use straps to tie the walls to the roof.

I dont know wether to use twist restraint straps or bend ones.

Done some research and know twist ones are use with pitch roof and bends are for flat roofs.

Some light over the matter please .?

that is an excellent bit of kit,

thank you very much.

It is a lot of good imformation in there but my doubt lays on the difference between twist and bend vertical straps.



When to use any of those??

Twist straps are attached to say a joist whereas bent straps are hooked over the wall plate.
