Hi could anyone suggest anything or easiest way of replacing this retaining wall. Im thinking of doing steel rsjs with sleepers. Replaced in sections.
Thanks in advance
Sorry should have stated on original post that it leaning and heavily cracked. Not decorative and dont really want to loose anymore of garden as not very big as it is. Thanks
The "easiest way" would depend on the person doing it's skills. I assume you want something a DIYer can do. I worked on a landscaping job once where the owner did it with steels and sleepers and it went ok. I think he took his eye off the spirit level on 1 or 2 of the steels and it set a little out of plumb but nothing to cry about. Have you priced it up? its not the cheapest.
Hi thanks for reply. Ye looking at attempting myself. Replacing in situ. Cut out post section will supporting rest of wall..... cost yes around £1000 give or take a little. With sleepers left over for some planters i need to do also .
Well steel and sleepers is a job most people can tackle. That wall will have a foundation that will need breaking to get the steels in so not hassle free.
