McDonalds do a good one. You'll earn more too. (And get cheap big-macs).
Oh, and with a usermane like that do you really need training. Most car mechanics know our job 'better than we do'.

Hi
Thanks for the advice one of my mates is a RGI, so there's no problem building a portfolio, i'm not planning on doing any cheap rates on work I do, but looking at the quallity of some of the pipe work installed by gas safe installers I think maybe some should do basic plumbing course's never mind gas installations, no disrespect meant to all the professional gas safe engineers who do I fantastic job. but there are to many cowboys out there.
Why everyone is giving this guy a load off **** I don't know..
I don't know what experience you have and I'm sure you will know alot of the Level 2, but there is more than fitting kitchens and bathrooms, but.....
I would recommend starting off on a City & Guilds course in basic plumbing, then work your way through the first 2 years to get your C&G 6129 Level 2 qualification.
After you got the experience go in for the NVQ 6089 conversion as self employed and get together a portfolio of your work to receive the NVQ Level 2 qualification.
Next you will move onto your NVQ Level 3, and with your RGI friend you will be able to gather the evidence for the portfolio along with taking your gas exams and assessments.
I am looking to retrain to be able to do something else than gaswork. The whole building industry is in dire straits, and the gas side of it is no different from the rest.Hi
