My fence blew down in recent storms and I'm replacing it with stronger close boarding, I have dug out the old posts & Spurs which are in great condition but have a large concrete ball at the end. Can I reuse these Spurs by digging a bigger hole and dropping them in securing it with more concrete? Or should I chip away the old stuff? Or just buy new ones? Will it be stable enough if I drop the old ones back in 2ft down!

Personally I'd get rid of as much of the old concrete as you can easily do, and then reset the spurs in fresh stuff, well tamped down.
John :)

Follow johns advice and chip off the old stuff.

Post holes should be deep and narrow, if you reset the huge ball of concrete the hole will be very wide and the wider they are the more ground is disturbed and more likely the post is to rock.
