Thought I'd post a few pics of my recent DIY refit of my understairs toilet.

Main aim was to rip out the **** stained carpet, get rid of the yellow uneven walls, remove a dodgy tiled splashback and replace a radiator that didn't work.

Total spend less than £150. Never used so much filler in my life in such a small room.

Hi Tay7,

I'm loving your revamped understairs toilet write up.....I am doing a similar revamp and would like to ask a question.

I too have a radiator that doesn't work...its 400 wide and I have just got a new 400 wide towel radiator...but like you I thought I would not move the existing pipes.....my question is what did you screw into the bottom of the towel radiator and get it around the corner to link up with your existing 'old radiator' pipework?.....normally its a radiator valve.....

Thanks in advance

Matt

I had a spare pair of radiator valves. So i used the tails from them into the bottom of the towel radiator, then a 90 degree elbow and a short length of pipe into the existing radiator valves.
