reverend bans hymn

one of the nations most popular hymns (Jerusalem) has been banned from a cathedral because its not christian enough. :confused: the words by william Blake set to music in 1916 by sir Hubert Parr is often used on national occasions the very reverend Dean Colin Slee of southwark would not allow the hymn to be sung at a memorial , a church of England spokesman said jerusalem is a widely loved hymn and is firmly fixed in generations of hymn books :confused: :eek: they will be banning old ladies next because they are to holy.

I hear the guy who wrote it was an anti-established-church reformer. By "Dark Satanic Mills" he meant large churches and catherdrals :eek: which he considered ungodly or unchristian
