Hi,
I've got a y plan system which was working fine until the pump failed. I drained the system which was sludgy and replaced the pump. The radiators are now heating up on a hot water demand even after replacing the 3 port to try and cure it.
Considering reverse circulation wasn't a problem until the pump failed can a partial blockage
cause this issue. The f&e pipes tee in before the pump ok and there's no pipes after the cylinder return.
Ani ideas?

The HW cylinder return should be the first tee on the common return to the boiler.
