I have been told i need to install wired fire alarms becaused i am doing a refurb. If so can anyone recommend where i may get some from at a reasonable price.
Depends on whether you are the landlord of the property and if you are living in it or an absentee landlord.
If its an HMO (House of Multiple Occupancy) then you will be told if it is of high or low risk.
Low risk you can get away with a mains powered smoke alarm system preferably with battery backup as opposed to a stand alone smoke alarm running off 9V battery.
High risk and you are looking at a 24V wired system with call points.
