Hi,
Had a Rock Door fitted yesterday, the door is fantastic, and the workmen did a great job and took away all the old stuff. However I noticed that there was a really bad draft coming from under the door. When I took a look I could see daylight between the bottom of the door and the threshold.
The door is fitted with two parallel rubber weather strips fitted to the bottom of the door. According to the Rock Door specifications this is supposed to sit on top of the weather bar, to stop drafts I would imagine. If they move the door down it could stop the weather strip on the top of the door working correctly.

Has anyone else seen this problem with Rock Doors.

Thanks.
Dave.

It could be they've set the door to high, this was possibly done when setting the door up to lock nicely, get them back to re adjust it, then and only then can you find out whats gone wrong, it could even be the door slab is too short, now that would be a manufacturing fault

Well, I did say to the fitter that if he lowered the door the gap at the top would obviously get bigger, and would probably stop the top draft excluder form working correctly. Also in the door specification it does state the air gap all around should be 4mm. He said he would have to look into it first. The only other option I can see is to put a thicker bar on the bottom of the door to hold the rubber weather strips which would send them nearer to the threshold strip. Whether that could be done I don`t know.
