Rockdoor reviews should I be worried

I'm having all my windows and doors replaced. It's been a rollercoaster of panic and stress (involving me not being able to make decisions and a near miss with Anglian)!

Anyway today's paranoia is about composite doors. Despite me thinking the whole composite thing is a price inflated rip off, my fitter is recommending I get a Rockdoor (he is a Rockdoor trusted installer). I trust him, he's been in the fitting business over 20 years and he knows his stuff. But the reviews are not all glowing. 20% 1 star reviews on TrustPilot, shockingly bad on Review.io. Most of these revolve around poor customer service when something goes wrong and warping/bubbling of the doors. I want a black door but it won't be South facing and I have a canopy over the front door. The issue of warping was supposed to have been addressed by Rockdoor a few years ago with an improved design but even recent reviews from 2 months ago are saying the problem still exists. Some people are saying they are on their 4th door which seems crazy to me. Rockdoor argue lots of these problems are because of poor fitting. My UPVC door has been going strong for 20 years and shows no sign of any failure.

Am I worrying unnecessarily? Rockdoor also have 67% 5 star reviews on TrustPilot for balance.

I don't know whether to trust anonymous people on the internet or a bloke who stands to gain financially and can never be independent. My gut says he is being honest and basing his recommendation on his personal experience of not having to go back to customers to resolve issues, but the reviews of people who stand to gain nothing worry me a lot.

Your uPVC door was presumably white and reflected a lot of the heat away. A black door will soak up the heat which will encourage it it warp or split, it will also turn into a grey door in a few years as uv radiation affects the colour.

Thank you - is that the case with all colours that are not white? As I said the front door is not in direct sunlight as it is North East facing and has a porch canopy over the top. Rockdoor's guarantee states:

White and coloured foiled doors are guaranteed not to discolour within the tolerances of 3 points on the Grey Scale Rating, under normal weather conditions for a period of 10 years. Doors will not crack, bend, warp or bubble beyond manufacturing tolerances under normal weather conditions for a period of 10 years.

beyond manufacturing tolerances
Do you know what those tolerances are?

It might be OK on the dark side of the house, but when I look around at black, blue or red doors that are a few years old they all seem to have changed colour, usually in an uneven and very obvious way.

I imagine the tolerances are in Rockdoor's favour and not the buyer's if something goes wrong but I can also understand why they need to put some sort of qualifier.
I was hoping to have a different colour to other doors in my little row of 5 to add a bit of character to the street, blue, green, grey and white already taken so black seemed the obvious and goes with the rest of the house. They also do slate grey and anthracite grey. Would either of those be less prone to fading do you think or is it just inherent in the material?
