I've attached images of a damaged air brick. The brick is about 3 to 4 mts above ground and a rodent appears to have escaped to ground level outside from underneath floorboards. Plastic can be seen at ground level and a first-floor toilet is not far from the air brick.

Has anyone seen a rodent use an air brick to escape and not use it as an entrance point?

Thanks.

I have seen rats run up walls in the past.

Edit- brick walls, not smooth rendered walls.... but

.........but the rat had already been seen in the property before the air brick hole appeared.

Given the proximity of guttering and cable it’s an easy climb for a rodent .
(Short jump into gutter and down the pipe work ).Deep set pointing on the brickwork makes it even easier.
I read they can fall 40-50 ft without injury.
