roof felt rotten under yorkshire stone eves

hi all been a very long time, wandered can any roofers out there give me any advice about my roof, i have a pan tiled roof however the first 500 mm from the eves up is yorkshire stone slates, the problem i have is that the felt that over hangs into the gutter that is fixed below the stone slates is shot and i am now getting water running down the outside wall, is it possible to replace a strip of felt the full length of the house and how would it be fixed in place, cheers guys
