My house is a 18-year old detached. During a recent visit to the loft, I found that some of the felts on the north-facing side of the roof ridge look more aged and become warped (seem more worn due to the elements, water and damp), while the felts on the south-facing side are mostly neat and flat. From outside of the house, I can't see any visible problem with the tiles on the north side.
I wonder if it is normal (simply due to less exposure to the sun on the north side?), and also does it mean some of the felts at the north side have to be changed at some point?
Thanks in advance for any reply and advice.
