The roof insulation of a block, which still has its original flat roof, is minimal. The lower flats are unaffected because they are insulated from above. The owners of the top flat are the only ones that are affected.
The addition of exterior roof insulation would be expensive and surely get voted down at an AGM.
But, if and when a new roof is required, is there legislation that will require a new flat roof to have exterior insulation that meets current standards?
The block is leasehold with ‘right to manage’ by its owner occupiers
Thanks in advance for comments.
