within our loft I have used Kingspan (100mm) between the joists but as with kingspan and the inpurities in dimensions of my roof, there are a number (well quite a lot!) of small gaps. I believe foam expanding is suitable to seal these gaps, am I correct? Which type of foam expanding material would be recommended, with it been a cold roof in mind.

Beyond that, should i use a water proof membrane to lie on top of the kingspan/joists and then use foiled back plaster boards or is the latter sufficient to reduce any problems with damp/moisture?

Cheers for your input and thanks.

PS. I truly have got a true hatred for kingspan now. Messy stuff.

100mm foil back kingspan/celotex between rafters + 40mm (min) underdraw.

25-50mm air gap above the rafters.

Foil back plasterboard to ceiling.

Use ex-foam for any gaps or a silicone mastic.
