Is there any advantage of having a pyramid style roof lantern over a flat glass roof (apart from the fact that the flat roof has no height issues for the purpose of meeting overall height requirements under Permitted Development applications).
Given that flat glass roofs have the ability to slide open as well I'm wondering if there is any advantage?
Also am I right in thinking that lanterns will always keep a room cooler given the heat needed to hear the small void area (leaving aside the discussion about triple glazing)?
Thanks.
