I'm building a summer house room in my garden and thought a roof Lantern would look good. The room will be 11foot by 12foot and the lantern approx 6foot by 8foot. My question is what size should the joists be , I was thinking 6x2 but not sure with it taking the lantern weight and strecher joists either side. any help or advice would be appreated.
