Roof structure (new Roof) - need clarity on the rafter design

I'm trying to clarify the details how best to structure a roof abutment - i.e. the rafters .
Pictures best show.

I'd like to have a correct plan for these rafter before engaging a roofer.

Build the main roof as normal, then construct the little lean-to bit as a lay-roof onto the main roof with layboards and jacks.
