roof tiles

Hiya m8

Can't say I've ever heard a tile be "blown off due to moss". The moss can make tiles move a little but it will certainly never make a tile detach from the other tiles in a way to make it come completely off

thanks dude
just done insurance quote
and it was declined because exess moss has allowed high winds to dislodge a couple of tiles and cause damage inside loft conversion.
so it is lack of maintainance for not cleaning roof . what a bunch of a holes

your insurance should still cover the damage caused by the dislodged tiles!

I had to have the battens replaced on one side of my roof.

The existing tiles were put back.

But one looks like it is on the wrong way around. Pic attached.

The contractor says this is for ventilation of the roof and is an eve tile.

Is this correct?

Thanks.

Looks like It's a damaged tile . Better he put it on the bottom course if there are no spares.
Tile next to it isn't sitting right either.
Probably a tile chip stuck under it .

Looks like someone didnt push the adhesive strip down under the ridge tiles properly either.

The black strip under the ridge tile which has the corrugations on the edge I'm sure has an adhesive strip down both side to stick to the tiles.
