Hi,

Back of house rendered and rendered took back mortar on roof verge.
Any ideas on best way to fill this gap and make it look tidy?

Was thinking expanding foam in the gap and then attempt to cover over with sand:cement mix (3 sand, 1 sharp sand and plasticiser?) I've never done this sort of thing before.
How can I make a straight edge when the current mortar overhangs the wall?

Hi,
Only a DIY'er, so may not be the best idea!
But, I would go for a uPVC 'single leg' fascia board and cover it up. :)

You can dry pack mortar mix, then just run wet trowel along .

Guy can be seen here dry packing narrow slot, 3min50sec into video .

You need an undercloak and the verge squaring up!

There is no render drip above the widow frame. Watch out for cracks and leaks

Thanks.

How do you recommend squaring up the verge? Have always avoided working with roof - fear I'll cause more problems

The end 2 or 3 tiles would come off and the 2nd or 3rd tiles cut to a suitable width. Then an undercloak fitted before rebedding the tiles, or a dry verge fitted
