Roofing Felt - confused!

Hi guys,

on my plans it mentions I need to use "Tyvek breathable felt"

I have searched on the web and found lots of different ones.

Ideas on what I should be buying ?

Is all the Tyvek felt breathable?
Is it all the same stuff?

Tyvek is a premium brand and the architects choice, but certainly not the only brand suitable. A bit like Coke and supermarket own brand cola.

Cheaper brands are like tissue paper and tear easily and some do not offer the performance that premium brands like Tyvek offer. Whether your building would notice the difference though is debateable.

Speak to your local merchant to see what is available. It is important however that the product is BBA licensed and that you follow installation instructions regards draping, eaves detail, etc.

Any BBA membrane will perform just the same under tiles for the life of the tiles
