roofing trade bodies

Hi Folks,

I'm just looking for advice/ personal experience.

I'm looking to get some quotes for a roof that needs replacing.

I wish to get quotes with a roofer affiliated with a roofing trade body.

I know there are several different bodies/ associations.

Does anyone have any good/ bad experiences they would like to share.

Some of the best roofers I know aren’t in any trade associations whatsoever. However one of the decent ones are the NFRC. We joined them years ago and they came out on two occasions to inspect our work as well as in our office for an hour scrutinising our paperwork. Most associations just want your money and it’s an easy application process just to get the approval with no visit at all.

I'd go recommendation too.

We used a guy that was a member of an institute to do some plans for us, was ****ing useless!!!
