You need to cure the condensation first by allowing the room to be ventilated.

Can you leave a window on the crack, do you have trickle vents?

I have just successfully done away with the problem of condensation in a small room. Condensation is a winter only problem - warm moist air hitting a cold wall where there is no ventilation, result - air condenses into water droplets.

First clean up the walls with an anti-mould product designed for that purpose (available at all supermarkets/DIY stores) and then when dry spray again with the anti-mould product.

Next, paint all four walls of the room with anti-condensation paint (two coats, minimum), which is made by International (red tin) and is available at B&Q and may be also at other DIY stores. You'll be surprised at the warming effect this paint has on the walls. And that will resolve your condensation problem.

As my room is very cold I've also pasted Warmlite ( by Decorlite, available at B&Q) 2 millimetre polystyrene wall covering onto all four walls, then overpasted that with vinyl wallpaper (to protect the Warmlite from scuffing). It's now the warmest room in the house and doesn't need any heating!

Don't forget to check the condition of your skirting board in case the condensation has rotted the timber.
