Moved into a bungalow earlier this year and as you can see from the photo the roots from a tree/hedge stump has lifted the concrete path.

Could this be a fairly straightforward 'fix' I could do myself, or if a professional is needed would a general garden landscaper be the right person to call? A tree surgeon? Or as there is potential disruption to the house foundation maybe a structural engineer is needed???

I'm not too bothered about the crack in the path for now as long as I can kill off the roots and prevent further damage.

TIA of any advice given.

I can't quite tell if it's an ivy stump with a little life in it, or a dead stump with some ivy growing out of it.

...either way, if it was mine I'd lift the concrete slabs either side of it and dig it out - hopefully be able to dig under the slab towards the wall to get the rest out...
It's not something I'd have major concerns about, to be honest.
