I have just put a new rose bush in the ground. Bought it from morrisons, just looks like a collection of twigs to the uneducated. Will I get any flowers on it this year? Theres quite a bit of new growth - budding - on it already.

I bought it to contrast another rose bush in the garden. The existing one is 6ft high and is currently in full bloom, currently containing around 30-40 flowers.

Another question is, when dead-heading, where is the best place to cut to ensure quick new growth?

Both bushes get about 10 hours of direct sun in the summer (when it shines).

Cheers.
