The hollow internal doors in my house are fitted with round handles that I wish to replace with lever handles. The existing handles have roses that fit over holes that are very close to 53mm diameter - why such large holes were necessary, I have no idea. This means that lever door handles, which all seem to have 53mm roses will not fit over the existing holes without falling through them. I have a dozen such doors so replacing them would be an expensive option and plugging the holes doesn't sound very practical because the doors are hollow. Can anyone suggest a solution? Can lever handles be obtained with roses that are, say, 55 or 60mm in diameter?
