I have a pair of rothenberg 15/22mm pipe benders. There is a few dots on the former. Am trying to figure out what to align with what to do a 90 degree bend. I had the old hilmor ones before. This had a line on the former were to pull the bend with to get a 90. Thanks

They should be marked. If not do a test pull, you should be able to gauge by eye when the pipe is getting to 90 deg and therefore the corresponding mark, when pulling the bend. Even mine that are all of 20yrs old now are marked.

Oh I see sorry picked you up wrongly.

Pull the bend till the guide hits the mark plus a smidgen more for the spring back, hold the benders away from you and look at the pipe till it looks like a right angle. Then find something that is square to check it against and adjust the bend to suit. When it's, right mark the former as to where the edge of the pulling arm reaches for next time.
