I've recently bought a 1965 2 bed semi detached bungalow which needs a full re-wire. Can someone give me an idea of price using standard fittings. Currently the upstairs hasn't been converted but will be at a later date. Im in manchester btw. Cheers

It will cost somewhere between the price of a second-hand car and the price of a holiday.

It all depends….on lots of factors. You need to think and make a list of all of the stuff that the electrician will need to do. Its not just lights and sockets.
Think about heating control wiring, TV, internet, phone, bathroom and kitchen wiring to all of those appliances, stuff outside the house too. There can be lots.

Get the list together and find a few REGISTERED electricians to give you a quote.

There is a rough pricing guide on the WHICH website, but the actual cost will depend on what you have and what you want.

Do you intend to have provision installed for upstairs conversion?
Regrettably it is not that easy to take a punt at guestimating a price, there are lots of factors and variables to consider, not all two bedroom bungalows are the same.
It would be best advised that you contacted, 3 different electricians that are competent and get quotes from them.
