rover 25 streetwise

my rover 25 heater is just blowing cold air could it be the heater matrix or just something simple if it is the matrix how do you remove the dash to get to it or could it be an air lock can anyone help
ive already had the head gasket done and the water pump replaced so at a loss now

I haven't seen under the bonnet of one of these, however here's some things to ponder about....
No heater will work unless the coolant level is full.
Some heater pipes have a bleed point at the highest point of their run.
Both of the heater pipes should be hot - ideally one slightly hotter than the other
Some cars have a mechanical or electrical valve that interrupts the water flow through the heater matrix
Other cars direct air through the matrix (warming you up) or channel the air elsewhere.
So, if you can have a look through some of those points, you may get somewhere!

At the rear of the engine bay you will find a valve for the heater. some times there wire comes off and wont let hot water through. but first check coolant level.
