Rover 75 CDTi 2003 Alternator

The red charging light has come on. I have checked the belt and connections. What else should I try? Is it a BIG job to remove and fit a new alternator? The car has done 30,000 miles

You could sell it and get a decent motor with a dynamo. All this modern tech is getting too much for you.
