Hi, can anyone offer advice?
I've had my chimney stack removed to below roof level.
The breasts still remain in the loft and 4 rooms below ground and first floor.
The loft breast has corbelled brickwork supporting the ridge beam.
I wish to remove the breast from the back of the house and support the corbelled brickwork in the loft.
I'm not sure if I should be asking the structural engineer to quote me for gallows brackets or an rsj.
I don't want to have unnecessary work and additional costs if they're not needed.
(It's not a shared chimney either if anyone is wondering)
