Hello all,
First post, so thank you in advance for any assistance.
We had a new combi boiler installed last week. Last night we had a leak in one of the old pipes - we've had an extension one of the old pipes behind the wall is leaking. With the aid of some plasterboard destruction we identified the leak and it was an old pipe to where the previous kitchen was- it wasn't capped properly, just bent over and poorly soldered, resulting in the new pressure hot water 'flying' out of two pin prick sized holes. The plumber came this AM and sorted that.
However, two questions have now come to light;
1) Before he left, the plumber suggested we might want to "clip" the pipe further- can somebody please clarify what this means?
2) When we turn on the taps quite quickly there is a rumble/vibration from the pipes upstairs from near the new boiler.
Any help appreciated, I am panicking about all things water related now as we have a wall and potentially carpet to replace!
If further information is needed please advise.
Thanks again in advance.
