Rust on edge of enamel bath??

Have seen a product on plumbworld website for repair chips in enamel baths. Does anyone know if I can use this product by rubbing off rust, putting on compound and rubbing down then coating with enamel spray? The rust is about 5 inches long on the edge of the bath. Many thanks for any comments on the performance of this product.
