Snapped this today lads, I know how we all love pics on this forum.
Trying to persuade customer to go for a replacement tub as I for one will definitely not attempt a fix!!!
An attempt to repair a few months back, was by painting over the rusty spots with enamel paint!!
The rust spreads to the rear end of the tub and isn't a pleasant sight tbh.
the back end of it was literally crumbling upon touch. Customer had a few personal items shelved at the rear which is why I cant show you the tub as a whole. There is an option available through a specialist to have the whole thing resurfaced and it sets you back £400 or so, but this chap was adamant that enamel was def not for him. Due to the frequent use of the tub in his household he now fears that rust will appear again at some point. Bring on the acrylics!!!!
Presume the basin and pedestal is new, or have the stickers been left on from when it was fitted along with the bath!!!!Tell him to get some rust eater a wee bit o cataloy tin o spray paint and away you go
