That's a lot of weight for such small clips. I'm surprised Ryobi didn't change their mount.

They'd have to rework all their tools then as it wouldn't be one+ fits all, deWalt and makita have had the slide system for some time now so I don't understand Ryobi constantly banging on about the one battery fits all USP.

the heaviest batteries where the nicads with the 4ah lithiums being the lightest off all compares to 1.5/1.7/2ah and even lighter than the origional 2.4ah li-ions
 
It won't be as heavy as their NiCads were.

Well presumably it's constructed very similarly to the Milwaukee, both being subsidiaries of TTI, the Milwaukee is fractionally over a kilo.

That sounds about right going by being 2x as heavy as the 4 AH.

Perhaps a bit of a strain for a few of the handheld tools, but these would be useful for then new dual battery sliding mitre which is also on the way, and OK for tools that need two hands or no hands!
