I have an on-going problem with my Response SA-P1 Wireless Alarm system. The low battery on control panel is flashing indicating a low battery in one of the PIR's. They all work ok in test mode but under normal operating conditions none of the lights in any of the PIRs flash indicating which one has the low battery. This is very frustrating. Can anyone help PLEASE

Haven't had much to do with these panels. I assume it's a DIY kit. Is the low battery signal pertinent to the detectors only, or is it supposed to flash when the standby battery in the control panel or external sounder runs down (if there is one). Use a new battery, just one, and replace each pir battery one at a time with the new battery. In the meantime I'll do some digging around.

Not got the manual then.

Control Unit "Low Battery" LED flashing.
1. Check all PIR movement Detectors for low
battery indication, (i.e. LED behind detection lens
flashes when movement detected). Renew
batteries as required.

Nope ! Haven't got the manual for that one, but he can eliminate the low battery following my instructions, easy.

Thank you for your comments. I changed all of the batteries one by one a few months back. Non of the PIR s flash when movement is detected so they are not indicating a low battery. There is a back up battery in the siren housing but an earlier post explained that the panel does not pick this up as a Low battery as they do not talk with each other. Is this correct? The battery in the siren housing is probably 9 months old so I will change this and see if it solves the problem. Any other moments are most welcome

I am just generalising, since I don't know this panel. If there is a history log, it might be worth a glance. Do you have a rechargeable battery inside the control panel, if so, this might be the culprit. We'll get to the bottom of it, there's a host of specialists here to put me right on the subject.
