How do move about and work on a roof safely without any scaffolding or cherrypuckers etc? Do the professionals just get up there or do you have some kind of harness and if so where would you attach the harness to?
As Woody says, a scaffold is a must for a professional roofer or he can kiss goodbye to his insurance. Harnesses on a traditionaly covered roof are a pain in the arse as they don't allow freedom of movement (we've only once had to use harnesses on the insistance of the main contractor (and yes we had a scaffold as well) and it was a bloody nightmare)
